Hospice Care of the Lowcountry took care of a kind man who had a beagle named Bubba. Bubba was a sweetheart of a dog and so were his owners. The patient was a very high risk for falls, so his wife was unable to leave him to walk Bubba. She could let him out in the fenced yard, but could not leave the house for any length of time to exercise him. Three Pet Peace of Mind volunteers were assigned to walk Bubba, and they fell in love with him. In fact, one who lived close by would take Bubba back to her house for play dates with her dog. The wife was very grateful for the help so she could stay with her husband.
