Harley Gets the Help He Needs

Twenty years ago, a current patient at Grant Memorial Hospice welcomed a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix into her home and named him Harley. The hospice team became aware that due to financial reasons, Harley was unable to receive the veterinarian care he needed for his heart and arthritis.

Through the help of a volunteer and the Pet Peace of Mind program, the caregiver was able to take Harley to receive a checkup and get the medicine he needed. Harley continues to be by the patient's side and provides the emotional support and happiness he always has thanks to the help of the hospice team.
