Helping a beloved pet remain with loved ones when they need her most

“The staff enjoyed visiting with sweet little Cocoa, a Pomeranian belonging to one of our patients. Cocoa’s family was facing struggle and hardship. Both her owner’s husband and brother had been diagnosed with terminal illnesses in a short period of time. Financial and time constraints prevented them from obtaining routine care for their darling pet, which created another stress on a family already worn thin. Her owner told us that little Cocoa was in heat, and the neighborhood dogs were knocking at their doors! We transported Cocoa to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital. Once there, the kind staff performed a wellness exam and spayed her. In addition to the vet visit, we provided the family with three months of heart worm and flea and tick medicine. Cocoa feels much better and her owners do as well!”
