We recently received this wonderful story from our Pet Peace of Mind partner, Hospice Savannah in Savannah, GA.
“Every now and then we provide weddings for our patients. In a very short time, working with our volunteers, we made a young man’s dreams come true.
A 41-year-old patient’s wish was to marry the love of his life along with his two furry best friends, Meatball and Daisy. He had been unable to keep up with their grooming and vet bills. Our Pet Peace of Mind volunteers were able to take the dogs to the vet, get them current on all vaccines and provide them with heartworm preventative. They were taken to the groomers the day before the wedding and attended the ceremony along with their parents. A very happy ending!”
