A Legacy Of Love

When people face the end of life, sometimes their greatest comfort comes from knowing their beloved pets will be safe and cared for. That peace of mind is exactly what your support of Pet Peace of Mind provides.

Take Briggs, for example.

Briggs, a 9-year-old Staffordshire Terrier, was an important part of the family. His human chose their hospice specifically because it offered the Pet Peace of Mind program. They knew it was the only way to ensure Briggs would find a loving home when the time came.

From the start, the patient made their wishes clear: they wanted to meet the person who would one day adopt Briggs. After all, Briggs had once been rescued from a shelter and they had promised he would never end up there again.

As their health declined, a heartfelt adoption plea written from Briggs’ perspective was shared to help find his new home. That story reached just the right person: a former caregiver who had once encouraged Briggs’ human to adopt him in the first place. It was a beautiful, full-circle moment. Briggs’ new family was already part of his old one.

Briggs’ future was secure because of the Pet Peace of Mind program and his human’s final wish was fulfilled with dignity, love, and compassion.
